Nestling in an enviable position, this attractive single storey barn conversion is adjacent to Howe Farm's farmhouse and has superb views over Esthwaite Water. It has been stylishly furnished and decorated and the cottage offers and welcoming accommodation alongside this typical Lakeland working farm.
This self catering holiday cottage at Hawkshead, in the English Lake District consists of a good sized lounge/kitchen/diner which retains the old feature of the barn and is heated an electric wood burning effect stove to make it cosy and ideal for all year use.
There is comfortable seating for 4 people, TV, video, stereo/CD and phone. The kitchen area is fully fitted and has a washing machine, microwave and full size cooker.
There are 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin, both with excellent views across the valley, and a bathroom with shower, WC and basin.
Outside there is a patio at the front of the cottage and BBQ and patio furniture.
The cottage is heated throughout by electric heating. The price includes all fuel and electricity, bed linen & towels, cot & high chair (available on request). There is off road parking for two cars. Free fishing is available on Esthwaite Water.
Footpaths meander through the scenic countryside and nearby woodlands, making this an ideal base for the enthusiastic hiker, with easy access to the mountains beyond. It is situated less than a mile from the pretty village of Hawkshead in the heart of the Lake District National Park, with Coniston and Ambleside close by. These villages offer a wide range of attractions for all the family as well as providing a variety of shops and choices for eating out.

If you don't feel like cooking whilst on your holiday we can offer ready meals using some of the finest local produce from award winning chef Nick Foster, of Nick's Kitchen.
Their range of ready meals include Lasagne, Beef & Guiness Casserole, Fish Pie, Smoked Haddock, Mashed Potato and Leeks with Cheese Sauce, Cartmel Valley Cumberland Sausage Casserole and Vegetable Lasagne. These can be placed in your accommodation prior to arrival or ordered from Lisa as and when required, prices start from around £3.50.
